After printing, the printing plate should be cleaned immediately with a suitable solvent and a soft brush. This is because ink is difficult to remove once it dries on the plate surface, and bending the plate again can cause it to crack.

The printing plates must be kept away from ultraviolet light, incandescent light, fluorescent light, and sunlight, and away from heat sources and ozone sources (such as printing press motors, corona discharge treatment devices, etc.). For unattached printing plates, paper or white plastic foam sheets should be placed between every two plates, and then they should be laid flat in a special box for storing printing plates.

If the printing plate is mounted on the printing cylinder, it should be wrapped and sealed with black polyethylene film when stored together with the cylinder. Alternatively, a protective liquid can be sprayed onto the surface of the printing plate for protection, but care should be taken not to spray this protective liquid onto the back of the plate, as this will cause the plate to warp.
