Factors contributing to slow drying of printed labels
There are eight factors that directly affect the slow drying of printed labels, here Label Source explains as below: 1.Ambient temperature: Low ambient temperature or high humidity will slow down the drying of ink. 2.Ink properties: Generally speaking, inks made with organic pigments dry slower than those made with inorganic pigments, thinner binders dry slower than thicker binders, and inks with higher oil content dry slower than those with lower oil content. 3.Diluents and thinners: Both diluents and thinners have the property of inhibiting ink drying, so they should be added in small amounts. 4.Paper properties and structure: If the paper is acidic, the ink dries slowly. A rough paper surface, loose structure, high permeability, and low sizing will promote ink drying, while the opposite will slow down the drying process. 5.pH value of dampening solution: Low pH value of dampening solution: The concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) in the dampening solution is very high, which will cause a displacement reaction with the metal salts in the drying oil, thereby inhibiting the drying of ink on the paper surface. 6.Printing Moisture: In the label printing process, if the printing plate has too much moisture, it will not only cause the......

Reasons affecting the normal operation of the rubber rollers in a label printing machine
The issue stems from an excessively large clearance between the roller neck and the support sleeve of the label printing machine’s rubber roller, or a poor fit between the support sleeve and the adjustable track surface. Some have also suggested a quality defect in the rubber roller itself, affecting its normal operation. To address this, we inspected and analyzed each mating surface and dimension of the support sleeve, and all results were normal. We also measured the roller’s circular runout and diameter at multiple points using a dial indicator on a lathe. The measurements showed that the circular runout and diameter tolerances were within the first-class product range. Therefore, it seems that the dimensions of the coating machine’s components and the assembly dimensions, as well as the specific rubber roller itself, are not the problem. To address the issue of excessive vibration affecting the normal operation of the label printing machine’s rubber rollers, we tested a worn-out, scrapped rubber roller on the varnishing machine. The old roller ran smoothly without significant vibration, indicating that the excessive vibration of the new roller was primarily due to inherent quality defects. Based on this, we conducted further investigation and analysis, ultimately concluding that......

Analysis of the impact of printing and coating on coating quality
Printing processes can cause the coating film formed on the coating rollers to be easily broken and cracked; improper setting of coating head process parameters can lead to poor coating transfer between rollers, thus affecting coating quality. To address these issues, the following measures should be taken in actual production. 1.Add a screening system to the paint delivery pipeline: In view of the impurities and bubbles contained in the paint, the paint conveying process was modified and a screening system was added between the working tank and the working plate to screen out the impurities and coarse spacer particles mixed in the paint, thereby improving the quality of the paint and improving the film-forming properties of the paint. 2.Eliminate metering roller scraper: In view of the impurities and bubbles contained in the paint, the paint conveying process was modified and a screening system was added between the working tank and the working plate to screen out the impurities and coarse spacer particles mixed in the paint, thereby improving the quality of the paint and improving the film-forming properties of the paint. 3.Reasonable adjustment of coating head process: Reasonable and appropriate roller gaps, speed ratios, and wiping ratios have a significant......
